The blue woman is the Egyptian Goddess of the Night, Nuit, The man is her companion Geb (God of the vegetation and mountains) and then there is a snake....well, you see it!

two great lover joined in harmony. He speaks to her through mediation for they connect without words. She speaks to him through natural touch for that is how he prefers. She feels his strength when she lies in the grass, or in fall (autumn leaves). She holds the key to the beauty that surrounds us he the foundation we walk on. They rule both earth and sky. The color scheme is brillant, the comp is breathtaking. I would love a print of this. I could stare at it for hours.

Il y a dix ans,j'ai etudié les hiéroglyphes égyptiens et j'avais traduit Le livre des morts dans la version du papirus d'Ani déjà traduit un siècle plus tôt par Wallis Budge,j'ai alors passé de nombreuses nuits dans les bras de Nuit ,la grande déesse,l'océan du ciel.J'ai aussi lu Aleister Crowley notamment son Magick in theory and practice à la suite de quoi j'ai peint Magick qui est une sorte de talisman de force.Je me souviens l'avoir vendu le premier soir où il fut exposé au Grand Palais à Paris...
