This is a portrait of Bruce Lee made with black Ecoline (a kind of already diluted watercolor, resembles an ink) and a traditionnal watercolor brush (grafite for the scketch) on schoeller cardboard.
It took a hell of a patience and this was my 2nd attempt with this medium (the first was a horse which came all green because I didn't master the medium well enough, and ended in the trash). You can maybe notice from the hyperrealism that this is from the same period as Lillina's portrait [link] , it means the period of my first *art attempts*, ages ago. Based on a photograph of course... PS the scan turned out quite horrible sorry for that PS: I now posted a hi-res scan of the same work....[link] Daily DeviationGiven 2003-04-20Bruce Lee in watercolor by amarilli is a beautiful watercolor painting from a very talented deviant. It exhibits a mastery of watercolor painting in a way that's very refreshing to see on deviantART (Selected by +devilmech) (Featured by `devilmech) |
